I'm an artist, painting instructor, lifelong creative adventurer, and enthusiastic collector of craft supplies. (Some might say I have enough supplies to open my own store, but I prefer to think of it as being prepared for any creative emergency!)

My painting journey began during a difficult chapter of my life, when I discovered that picking up a paintbrush could offer something I hadn't realized I needed—a little peace, a little joy, and a chance to simply enjoy the moment.

What started as one painting adventure eventually grew into something much bigger!

How My Painting Adventure Began

After losing my dad in 2019, life became filled with grief, responsibilities, and some very difficult days. Somewhere along the way, I lost touch with the creative part of myself that had always brought me so much happiness. 

Then, in the spring of 2021, I came across an online painting class and decided to give it a try. 

For the first time in what felt like forever, I spent an hour or two completely absorbed in something enjoyable. For those precious moments, I wasn't worrying about everything that needed to be done. I was simply painting.

And when I finished, I felt a little lighter. 

That simple experience reminded me how powerful creativity can be. Painting didn't make life's difficulties disappear, but it gave me a peaceful place to set them aside for a little while.

One painting led to another, and before long, I had collected enough paints, brushes, and canvases that I joked I might have to start teaching painting classes just to use up my supplies! 

As it turns out, that's not too far from what happened!

Sharing the Joy of Painting

What began as a personal journey gradually grew into Painting Adventures with Pamela, where I now have the pleasure of helping others discover their own creativity.

One of my favourite things about teaching is watching someone arrive convinced they can't paint, only to leave with a beautiful creation they're proud to say they made themselves.

I truly believe you don't need to be an artist to enjoy painting.

You don't need experience, expensive equipment, or any special talent. All you need is a willingness to try, a little encouragement, and the freedom to enjoy yourself along the way.

My paint parties and beginner-friendly painting tutorials are designed to make creativity approachable, relaxing, and fun. There are no expectations of perfection here. Just an opportunity to learn, laugh, connect, and create something wonderful.

Painting from the Heart

Because of my own experiences with grief, I understand how important it can be to find moments of comfort, connection, and peace.

That understanding has inspired me to begin developing a special collection of gentle, meaningful painting experiences, created with the hope of offering comfort, encouragement, and moments of peaceful reflection through creativity.

Whether someone is navigating a difficult season or simply looking for a peaceful creative escape, my hope is that painting can provide a welcoming space to breathe, relax, and reconnect with themselves.
